Every profile connects an author to the books they have written.
Readers come here looking for Black stories and independent voices. The directory gathers the authors behind those stories in one place, so you can browse their profiles, get a sense of their work, and follow each one through to their books.
What you'll find here
Each author profile brings together a portrait, a biography, and the titles they have written — so a name on a cover becomes a person you know something about.
- Author profiles with portraits and biographies
- Connections from each author to their books
- A searchable directory for finding authors by name or genre
For authors
Independent authors can join the directory to be found by readers browsing for their next book. Participation gives you a profile that links your name to your work and introduces you to readers discovering Black literature.
